Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many locations use Readiness Rounds?

A: Currently Readiness Rounds processes the safety and readiness rounding for over 15,000 beds nationally

Q: Do you keep the standards associated with our questions updated?

A: Yes. Any rounding based on Sterling template questions is automatically updated as standards are changed.

Q: What is your agreement term?

A: 1 year with renewal options

Q: Can we change the questions we use on rounding?

A: Yes. This needs to be done with care. The questions are linked to standards so any change impacts the effectiveness of standards reporting. Also consideration needs to be given to implementing a proactive process that consistently measures and takes actions on results of the measurement.

Q: What is the recommended scoring approach?

A: Readiness Rounds has a variety of methodologies available. Our recommended approach is to simply score compliant or non compliant. This is most easily understood by a wide range of people using the process. In addition we recommend that users adopt a score by exception approach. As the higher majority (around 95% in total for all clients) of items are going to be compliant this approach simply requires identifying any items needing attention without interfering with the integrity of the process.

Q: Can we benchmark our performance with others using the system?

A: Yes. Readiness Round provides an overall benchmark of scoring from all rounds participating in process.

Q: What is the primary use of this process?

A: There are many benefits of the process. Fully deployed, and used, the primary benefit is allowing all levels of your facility to focus immediately on performance improvement priorities. This cuts through the “clutter” of identifying priorities and has your organizational fully focused on developing and implementing performance improvement efforts.
